Who pays for band reconfiguration?
Nextel is required to pay all costs necessary to implement reconfiguration and is obligated to ensure that relocated licensees receive at least comparable facilities when they change channels. Parties, however, are free to negotiate different arrangements.
Nextel is also responsible for paying indirect costs associated with reconfiguration, such as administrative costs, inventory costs and costs to obtain estimates of what it will take to retune. These costs must be reasonable, well documented and the minimum necessary to obtain comparable facilities.
